Harry Potter - 'Nuf Said

Visit to DC

Julie and I went to see our good friends Brad and Emily who live just outside of DC. We had a great weekend doing things like seeing the sites, watching the newest Harry Potter movie, and just hanging out and talking. It was really fun to see them, and I hope we get to do it more often from now on. On the down side (Brad/Emily - I didn't tell you this yet), we ran out of gas on the way to Durham. We puttered to a stop south of Richmond on I95 S. Luckily I was able to flag down a cop to give me a ride to the nearest gas station. I hope to never go through that again:D.

Oh, by the way, the picture of Dewey is with his friend Bailey. I just didn't feel right making so many blog posts without any Dewey pictures.

Dickman/Fulton Wedding

Julie's cousin Liz got married her fiance Michael a few weeks ago. We had a great time at the wedding and reception. Julie's family was in town for the wedding, so it was fun to hang out with everyone.

 

 

 

 

Dickman Family Visit to NC

Julie's family visited us a few weeks back. They were in town for a wedding (more on that later). They went to the Bennett Place Civil War Museum (where Julie's dad met someone whose Civil War knowledge rivaled his own). We also visited Duke's campus, played corn hole (Julie's parents made us a corn hole set), BBQ'd, and went to the Durham Bulls ball park to watch a game and 4th of July fireworks.

Cuttin' Cactus

Here's a pic of some of the damage I did recently to our cactuses (cacti?) with a pair of garden shears. They needed it more than I needed a haircut.
