We're Moving to Del Boca Vista!

(That's a Seinfeld quote if you didn't catch it.)

We're closing on our house today!  Apologies if any emails or calls go without response for the next few days - we are going to be busy!  We close today at 1, and then the moving in begins!  On Wednesday, Julie's parents are coming down to help us.  We're also lucky enough to have the two great missionaries coming (the ones that helped us move into our storage unit a month ago). 

It's going to be a tiring and exciting few days!

We're Back from our Roadtrip

We just got back from Goose Creek State Park, which is located on the Pamlico River near the coast of North Carolina.  The did primitive camping (no amenities), hiking, and sight seeing.  We cooked hotdogs over the fire at night, and hunted for snakes during the day (we didn't find any).  We also visited the town of Bath, North Carolina's oldest town, established in 1705. 

On the way there we were so intent on singing along with the radio that we missed our turn on the freeway and wound up taking the wrong road across North Carolina.  Oops!  We managed to fix the problem, but it took a little extra driving:).

Unfortunately our camera battery died, so we didn't take our usual allotment of 300 pictures.  The ones that we did take can be seen here. 

Roadtrip - ready, set, go!

We're heading out on the road today.  We were planning on visiting a beach on the coast and then camp out for the night, but the beach is covered in rain this weekend:(!  So instead we're going to go to Goose Creek State Park, which isn't quite on the coast, but near water nonetheless.  We'll probably do a lot of hiking and general aimless wondering, armed at all times with our trusty Off! bug spray (the mosquitoes in North Carolina don't mess around).  We'll post pictures when we get back.
