Update

Hey everyone! I'm not blogging for any reason in particular; this post is more just to let people know that I'm still alive than anything else. I'm working on a presentation for work right now that I'll be giving next Tuesday - wish me luck!

Julie just stopped by after coming from a LeaderShape event - we got to talk a little about our wedding invitations, our wedding cake, and our pianist that we are going to hire for the ceremony - fun stuff! We're going to Dayton this weekend to take care of those three items (and more).

It was really, really windy here last night! They reported winds of up to 45 miles per hour - hearing that made me wish I was outside flying my kite!!!

Ok, I'm back to work on this presentation thing of mine...I can't wait until I'm done with it!!

Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Wedding Stuff...

Phew! The holidays are over, and I think it's safe to say that I survived.

Thanksgiving was great; I spent it with Mom, Dad, and Melis in Cleveland Heights (at Melis' house). She made some AWESOME food and I think everyone had a great time. The only bummer is that it was COLD there! The wind was blowing so hard one night, I was sure I was going to wake up in Kansas surrounded by a bunch of munchkins (but that's a story for another post...).

Christmas was a blast too! I went down with Julie and her family to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Even Gracie (the dog) got to come! Here she is after we buried her paws in the sand. She (we) had a good time doing it. We rode bikes all over the island, had picnics, and just had a great time in general. I even got to play my PSP a few times;). It was so refreshing to go to a place where the sun shined for more than 20 minutes at a time!

On Christmas Eve, Julie and I made the trip from Dayton to Lake Milton for Christmas day at the Chases. We had an equally fun time there (even though it was cold)! Melis, Mom, and Dad were present, and we made sure to talk to Les on the phone. Even Joey, Melissa's dog, made time in his busy schedule of sleeping and eating to come down and visit for a bit. We had some delicious food in Lake Milton as well. Mom and Dad and Melis always make some good grub.

After returning to Oxford, I headed back to Dayton to see Julie and we, along with her mom (who I sometimes call "mama-san"), went to a bridal show in Dayton. I know what all the guys are thinking - "Oh man, sorry about your luck." But it was a really good time! I enjoyed getting to see my fiancé and mama-san in "wedding mode" and get things done! It also didn't hurt that there were no less than three vendors at the expo that were touting chocolate fountains - I made sure to try every single one (and sometimes more than just once). I went into the expo starving (I hadn't eaten much that day) and left completely full (of chocolate and cake samples). Not a bad way to spend an afternoon!

I'm sure I've left a lot of important things out from the last couple of months, but if I covered every detail, I'd never actually finish this post, and you wouldn't be reading this right now, and...
